The Tuscan crocus (Crocus etruscus) or Rose Crocus is a plant of the genus Crocus (Crocus) in the family of the Iris family (Iridaceae).
Features
The Tuscan crocus is a perennial tuber geophytes, height of 8-12 centimeters reached. The tuber skin is grossly netzfaserig. During its heyday, the leaves 5-6 mm wide and longer than the flowers. The Tuscan crocus is rarely used as an ornamental plant in borders and rock gardens. The species is at least since 1875 in culture.
