Incarvillea delavayi

Incarvillea delavayi Bureau & Franch., Is a herbaceous plant species belonging to the family Bignoniaceae.

Habitat

It is located on mountain slopes and grasslands to 2400-3900 m in Sichuan and Yunnan in China.

Description

They stemmed perennial herb growing to 30 cm tall, glabrous. The basal leaves are pinnate, 8-25 cm, leaf rachis 20 cm lateral wings 4-11 pairs, elliptic-lanceolate, 4-7 X 1-3 cm, glabrous, with a serrated margin, apex acuminate terminal wing 5.1 -3.5 X 1-2.5 cm, subsessil.

Cluster Inflorescences with 2-6 flowers are terminal with stems of 30 cm, bracts of 1 cm, pedicels 0.5-1.5 cm. Campanulate calyx 1.3-2 cm, with teeth 5-7 X 5-7 mm, apex acuminate. Corolla red, campanulate 6.5 x 3.5 cm 2.5 cm filaments, anthers ovate, versatile.

Style 3 cm, stigma tablet. The result is a capsule of gray-brown, with 4-angled, 5-7.5 cm. Seeds ovoid, generally glabrous on 1 side, in another pubescent, 5 x 3-4 mm. 5 x 3-4 mm.
