Phlomis

Phlomis (Phlomis) are a genus of the mint family (Lamiaceae).

Features

The species of the genus are perennials, shrubs or Shrubs. The leaves are undivided, the leaf margin is serrated or notched.

The flowers are in little or Scheinquirlen-flowered, the bracts are lineal to lanceolate. The Halbquirle are usually not stalked. The calyx is bell-shaped Röhrig up, has five to ten nerves and five nearly equal teeth. The crown is clearly zygomorph and double lip.

The helmet-shaped upper lip is arched and ausgerandet. The lower lip is sticking out, three-lobed with blunt a large central lobe and two small side lobes. From the dust sheets, two shorter and two longer.
